We took a second camping trip of the season with our friends and neighbors Rick & Patty to McCoy Creek.  McCoy Creek is only about 25 miles as the crow flies from home, but the drive around the beautiful Palisades Reservoir is closer to 35 miles.  It was a beautiful weekend with lots of snackin', fishin' and relaxin' We setup our rig just off the creek, about 75 feet from Rick & Patty's rig. Rick & Patty scored a sweet creekside spot.  Frankie & Denali were very content there.  Beautiful McCoy Creek Sure was pretty up there. We saw several eagles including this magnificent Golden Eagle. Neighbors stopped by for a ride across the road. Patty was the first to get setup and catch some trout... right at her campsite! I wasn't far behind, but I went looking for my creek access about a tenth of a mile upstream. Found a spot... And just like that, a hookup! Getting closer... Got him Inadvertant wiggling release Back at camp we were snackin' & sippin...
